This paper deals with the fact that relative time reference may not be restricted to subordinate verb forms and coordinate verb forms may not receive only absolute time reference in Korean. This may be contrary to our expectations. In addition, there may be cases that omission of ``eoss-`` C3Ill10t be permitted even in subordinate clauses. Appearance of ``relative Present`` in these clauses may result from the need of Present meaning and the shift in deictic center, namely a speaker`s location is moved from speech situation to the time of event took place.
