The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlational relationship between the learning participation factors and academic achievement in online English class of a cyber university. In a cyber university where the classes and class feedback are served online, students" online participation is essential. In this study, learning participation factors include the class attendance, the participation of assignment, discussion room, question and answer board, and free board. For this purpose, 90 students" data in "English for Beginners" in the spring semester of 2012 in H cyber university were collected and analyzed to investigate the correlational relationship between the learning participation factors and academic achievement. The result revealed that learning participation a correlational relationship with academic achievement with the significant level of 0.05. However, it does not show a significant difference in regression. That is, the learning participation factors do not affect academic achievement. In qualitative analysis, it showed that students participated differently according to the reflection of the grade. It is suggested that learning participation factors should be implemented with caution.
