In this thesis, a writer has classified the genitive noun phrase (GENP) into a narrative noun ([N. v]) and non-narrative noun ([N. v]) according to being present or not of predication in head noun, and then materialized it into connotative-GENP, relative-one, and additive-one according to the relation of a leading element to head noun. Connotative-GENP can be classified into GENPs, GENPo, GENPc by [N+v]. Relative-GENP generates the relative phrase by movement of NP, an argument by verb of sentence structure, into Nxi`, and by omitting verb of its relative, NP under control of verb is reconstructed into GENP under control of Nxi`. Additive-GENP generated with adjunct according to the meaning relation of leading noun to head one. In addition, a writer has proposed Syntactic structure of these GENPs. As the characteristics of GENP, I has inquired into the movement of SPEC in which GENP moves into the SPEC position of the subject by pragmatic motivation of a narrator and generates a change in Syntactic Structure and then its genitive mark ｛-의｝ is exchanged into specified mark ｛-은/는｝, and looked into the phenomenon of replacement of the subjective case and objective one into the genitive case and also looked into the case replacement phenomenon of the subject of relative phrase into the genitive.
