Recently, structural system of apartment building is changing from wall type to column type to accommodate various life styles of residents. Furthermore, it is necessary to expand to long span structure without internal columns because long span plan is more easy to expand and easy for remodeling in the future.
In this study the long span flat plate structure applying void slab is proposed according to “Long Life certification system”. The structure performance requirements for long-life housing are flexibility and durability. In addition, the long-life housing has to be economically feasible to commercialize. Therefore The flexibility and economic feasibility of the long span flat plate structure is compared with bearing wall structure, flat plate structure, long span rahmen structure.
