This study aims to analyse the housing project of SANAA(Gifu Kitagata Apartment) in terms of program and diagram. According to changing modern society consequently, we need to change the way of designing. SANAA"s way of re-programming and new diagrammatic methods maybe one anwer to us. Even though diagrammatic methods can be used in diverse ways, SANAA tend to use them to systematically organize the given programs in their specific way. Furthermore their final building form is flexibly derived from the diagram itself.
The results were as follows : 1) The method of re-programming is the motivation of new creative design. We try to search carefully nowadays human life for the re-programming thought. 2) The diagrammatic methods is one of the most powerful tool of designing. We need to develop the possibility of diagram more positively. 3) Asian way (traditional culture) is the source of the new creative architecture. That makes us different from western architecture. 4) The simple module (for example, SANAA"s case; 2.8m x 4.8m) will be the root of the new architecture. We will control the module with creative idea, we can design new architecture include housing.
