Report Errors
Long-life housing could be the effective policy for improving housing quality and resolving social problems due to short service life of buildings. Since the paradigm shift of apartment housing management in mid 2000"s, various long-life housing related technologies have been developed. However, lack of economic feasibility has been the major obstacle to diffusion of long-life housing as approximately 20% increase in construction cost is estimated in apartment employing long-life housing technologies compared to the cost of traditionally structured apartment. Therefore, LH partnered with KICT, SH, etc. is planning a demonstration project of cost-effective long-life housing. This study examined the desirable direction of economic evaluation on the project, and organized the essential elements such as evaluation for each project phase, analysis for trades, LCC analysis, optimal business model suggestion, supporting data creation for certification system.
