This paper focuses on BIM-enabled modeling for the efficiency and comparative evaluation at the early stage of design process. The old-house problem has been brought up since 1970, because of Supply Grand scale Housing project in Korea. Old-house need ‘Remodeling’ approach to improve not only physical problems but also qualitative issues. In remodeling process, however, the problem of communication between workers, unstandardized design and construction process became additional problem. In this circumstance, there is need for efficiency and evaluation of building design quality. As an alternative, we apply BIM has become a topic issue in recent years in Architecture domain. It is a technology that manages and deals with all the information about the life cycle of a building. Focusing on the design quality review, and quality check, we aim to investigate the influence on the overall process of remodeling through the design model for the early stage of remodeling design.
