As the first new town went by 20 years, the housing problems of aging especially about the living environment have been emerged. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the 1st New Town residents’ environmental satisfaction. In this study, to investigate new town resident’s satisfaction, social survey research with questionnaire was carried out at Bundang, Ilsan during October 27 to November 3 2013. Data were analyzed with SPSS statistics 21 using frequency, factor analysis, ANOVA.
Major findings were as follows, Bundang residents were satisfied with their apartment complex environment more than Ilsan and external environment satisfaction level was higher at Ilsan than Bundang. More than half of the residents responded that they want to live in new town more than 6 years.
In conclusion, Because of the satisfaction level of the 1st new town appeared relatively high in terms of infrastructure inner New Town, it is important the convenient transportation system to Seoul for improving satisfaction among others.
