With a recent dissolution of traditional families, various types of single household appear in Korea. Former researches regarding features of household, housing policy, and preferences of living space have been consistently conducted based on the trend. However, those studies have been continued with limited target and subject. The purpose of this study is to find integrated housing needs of single household based on space and service by grouping the subjects of conducted researches targeting single household. As a result, the rate of single household is highly occupied with twenties to thirties and over sixties. Single household can be divided into diverse group of students, office workers, and senior citizens living alone. The housing needs also varied in space and service. Therefore, it is necessary to provide not only targeted supply corresponding with the housing demand but also commonly accepted environment for single household in small house development. In prospect, we should conduct comparative study about housing overview and demand through the result of this research.
