The purpose of this study was to investigate the residential satisfaction and needs among permanent rental apartment tenants. Social survey research using a questionnaire, 100 data were collected from November 13th to 20th. SPSS for Win 18.0 was used to analyze the result of this study.
Major findings were as follows : 1) Small families tended to be more satisfied in the condition they are in than big families. The size of the house and the number of rooms had the highest percentage of needs for residential improvement. 2) Electricity, gas and water services and equipments were the significant factors for residential satisfaction. On the other hand, interior noise was the lowest satisfaction. 3) For housing welfare, the precautionary measures for alcoholics and insane people were the most indispensable factors.
In conclusion, Various housing welfare programs should help to improve the quality of tenants" lives living in permanent rental apartments.
