The purposes of this study are to examine the effects of youth`s leisure satisfaction and emotion to their subjective well-being and to verify the mediating effects of emotion (positive emotion, negative emotion) in it. The subjects of this research were 220 academic high school students, and as tools for measurement, leisure satisfaction, emotion (feeling), and subjective well-being scales were employed. The results of the analysis show that as youth`s leisure satisfaction gets higher, their positive emotion becomes higher but negative emotion becomes lower; thus, youth`s leisure satisfaction has been found to show statistically significant effects on their emotion. On the other hand, youth`s leisure satisfaction does not exert statistically significant direct effects on their subjective well-being. According to the results of verifying the hypothesis of whether youth``s leisure satisfaction influences their subjective well-being with emotion as its parameter, in correlation between their leisure satisfaction and subjective well-being, both positive and negative emotion shows significant full mediating effects. It has been found that in improving youth`s well-being, leisure satisfaction works as a factor showing indirect effects by increasing positive emotion and decreasing negative emotion.
