This paper aims to find out significant factors that distinguish convergent TV viewing group from traditional TV viewing group. It focuses on the effects of the Internet use with control of traditional factors. Further it also investigates the differences among subgroups within the convergent TV viewing group. Data for analysis was gathered by Korea Communication Commission and KISDI in 2014. The Internet use was analyzed to have a significant effects on distinguishing the two TV viewing groups after controlling other factors such socio-economic factors and infra-structural factors. Within the convergent TV viewing group, time-shift group turned out to be different from other two groups. They are more influenced by income and TV viewing time but less by the Internet use. Time-Space shift and Space shift groups are considered to be more convergent type of TV viewing.
