This article aims to explore Russia"s role in the trilateral dynamics among ROK-U.S.-China. During the reshaping of international order in Northeast Asia, trilateral structure like ROK-U.S.-China seems like to become more powerful position rather than before from the perspective of status, influence, interesting at the international stage. Russia takes an important role as a strategic balancer at this structure, and not only a guarantor of balance of power in this region, but also a mediator, arbitrator for the Korean peninsula problems.
If you look at the modern meaning of the Chosun Dynasty King"s refuge at the Russian legation in 1886 and current reshaping of international order in East Asia, gives it us some advisable political implications as follows : First, we need to have a wisdom timely for understanding the core of change of the international order in East Asia. Second, we should be a stronger country in the future. Finally, it is necessary for us to get a wise diplomatic strategy and crisis management skills. ROK-U.S.-China trilateral structure poses a challenge we have to overcome in the future.
