With respect to viewpoints of naturalized players in the field of sports, the present research is going to present an important issue on how we will see naturalized players and examined it in a view of acceptance or controversy. Naturalization has been proceed in national political respects and individual players’ respects in the field of sports so far. It was able to affirm national prestige through national political success in events and acquisition of excellent record and thus, each country is participating in naturalization of best players in the world. In addition, it is a matter of course that players try to obtain opportunities to take part in games and impossible to blame them for seeking to the opportunities. Nonetheless, on the one hand, it seems difficult to avoid controversy of naturalized players. In particular, there is a tendency to see naturalized players in biased views in South Korea, compared to other countries. However, on the other hand, another opinion of which employing naturalized players should be applied as one of the strategies for strengthening the power of the national team in order to achieve excellent result in the international games in which the status of the nation is measured, has been presented, and therefore, naturalization has been suggested as an alternative and its significance has been emphasized. In accordance with that, it is necessary to understand naturalized players with wide range of perspectives rather than prejudice. Furthermore, it is likely that a new morality is required of Korea to change a homogeneous nation to a multi-racial nation and multi-cultural society.
