The purpose of this study lies in conforming the self esteem of the offsprings from multi-cultural families who are in their adolescent period and in the center of a major change in their elf esteem. And the ultimate purpose of the conformation lies in helping those junior. senior high schools, to which the children for multi- cultural families will enter, to use it for guiding their living and studying. The major summarized results are as below. There wasn"t a big difference in self esteem of the adolescents from multi cultural families and adolescents from Korean families in general. The self esteems of adolescents from multi cultural families and korean families were affected by different variables. Adolescents from multi cultural families were influenced by distinctive experiences such as being treated discriminatingly or communication problems, especially, the relationship with their teachers had a great influence on them. The self esteem of the adolescents from multi cultural families showed various levels depending upon whether their parents are foreigners or not, and the nationality of their parents. That is, the adolescents groups from multi cultural families are very different from each other due to the nationality of their parents or whether their parents are foreigners or not which indicates the necessity of multidimensional approach to them.
