Research subjects were 40 5th and 6th grade female students at Y elementary, G city in Gyeonggido. They were split into "Exercise Group" and "Non-exercise Group", and following is the result of comparing and analyzing the basal metabolism and body-fat content ratio before and after 12 weeks of complex circulatory exercise program. First, in comparing the basal metabolism of two groups, the "Exercise Group" showed a higher average of 991.7 Kcal, and the "Non-exercise Group" showed an average of 897.7Kcal. Also, they showed statistically notable differences (t=4.135, p<.001). Second, in comparing the body-fat content ratio of two groups, the "Exercise GroupS showed an average of 28.6% and the "Non-exercise group" showed an average of 32.6%. The "Exercise Group" showed a lower body-fat content ratio, and showed a statistically notable different (t=-2.115, p<.05). As such, significant differences were found in the exercising group after the execution of the integrated circuit exercising program in terms of basal metabolism and body fat percentage. Thus, the integrated circuit exercising program was proved to be effective to improve basal metabolism and to reduce body fat percentage of female elementary school students.
