The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of participation motivation for achievement goal orientation of college golf player. This study was conducted with 120 research subjects who players participating in the college golf tournament. However, because 13 subjects data were deemed inaccurate, the results of the research are from a data-collecting questionnaire consisting of only 107 subjects. The data analysis was performed using the SPSS (Ver. 19.0) statistics program. The multiple analyses of descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, all followed their respective appropriate method according to each purpose. The results were as follows; First, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation showed statistically affect on the Challenges involved tendency factor, unmotivated wasn’t showed statistically affect. Second, extrinsic motivation showed statistically affect on the self-involved tendency factor, intrinsic motivation and unmotivated wasn’t showed statistically affect. In conclusion, participation motivation of college golf players showed that having a partial affect on achievement goal orientation.
