Report Errors
In Feb. 2018, the next winter Olympics is scheduled to be held in PyeongChang, Korea. This national big event is now accelerating the construction of new railroads and the improvements of current facilities in order to offer convenient transportation service for the prospective participating players and tourists. To keep abreast of this reform of transport system, AREX and KTX also intend to change existing railway operating schedules and patterns. The purpose of this study is to highlight the problems which have been revealed through merged dual operation of AREX and KTX on a same line, and to suggest the most suitable countermeasures to enhance efficiency and safety in operating railway and related facilities for the participating winter Olympics players and tourists.
