This study was conducted on the ICT-based ESCO project which had been conducted between 2011 and 2014. The performance analysis method was investigated based on the items such as ICT, application technology, analysis data, analysis method and influence variables.
The results of investigation of ICT-based ESCO project showed that energy-saving technology through control-based on Energy Management System (EMS), an ICT-based technology, had been implemented in about 200 buildings for a total of 22 businesses for the period of 4 years. An analysis method was set up to calculate the effects of energy conservation and a performance analysis was conducted by deducing influence variables and collecting analysis data. Engineering calculation using major or all variables, basic unit analysis and regression analysis were utilized for the analysis method, and device specifications, measurement data (energy use) and bill information were utilized as analysis data.
Considering that the method used for performance analysis was fragmentary and that the scope of the applied data was limited, there is a need to establish standard performance analysis process, necessity of preparation work, improvement of data reliability, continuous
advance of performance analysis, and improvement of awareness on performance analysis for the generalization of energy-saving technology and extension of its application.
