This paper presents a pulsatile micromixer without the need for complex external controllers and achieves rapid mixing. A circuit of the micromixer consists of oscillator and mixer units and each unit include two valves and two elastic membranes. The oscillator unit generates pulsatile pressure driven by constant water head pressure. With the pulsatile pressure from oscillator unit, the mixer unit produces narrow alternating plugs of the two liquids that are quickly mixed in the mixing channel. The micromixer shows complete mixing in the range of 14–20 Hz adjustable switching frequency and 2–20 μL/min flow rate.
