In 2014, smishing hacking attacks are intelligently evolving, so that users can incur financial losses, and their personal information are leaked and stolen. This study aims to examine and analyze real of smishing incidents, and to analyze mobile forensic data to be used as legal evidence for analysis. For this study, evidence is collected through mobile forensic analysis with applications, and real smishing incidents for describing technical principle and process of smishing hacking incidents that occur in smartphones. Security countermeasures are then suggested for the government and communication service providers to prevent financial losses by smishing hacking attacks. This study also aims to enable people to avoid smishing incidents in their smartphone and to use their phone safely.
