This paper describes the short circuit current contribution for different wind turbine generator types from a power system analysis perspective. Short circuit current plays a key factor in the circuit breaker capacity, protective coordination, power system security, and etc. First, the connectivity model of wind turbine generator using machine impedance was proposed. Then, short circuit current contribution was calculated through the PSS/E python. Extensive assessment, which includes the renewable energy modeling and short circuit analysis, is simulated by the automatic network analysis platform based on PSS/E and Python. The proposed methodology is conducted by the small test system and Korean power systems.
