This paper proposes an RF-based traffic safety marking system using Arduino. There are two types of traffic safety marking systems such as traffic safety signs and navigation. However, drivers sometimes pass by without recognizing traffic safety signs. Navigation with no latest map updates cannot offer the correct information to the driver. To solve this problem, an RF-based traffic safety marking system was proposed. Using and implementing Arduino, the potential of the application of traffic safety marking system was verified. Traffic safety sign boards send traffic safety information using an RF while drivers receive traffic safety information through the RF receiver. Drivers are updated with the latest traffic safety information, which helps them to drive safely. Drivers can receive the latest traffic safety information without navigation in real time under the proposed system. Therefore, the proposed RF-based traffic safety marking system is expected to be useful for the guidance of road traffic and safety signs.
