This paper is a basic design study to develop a mounting system for integrating smart home devices into a part of the walls in apartments, which are mostly clogged with furnitures except near of electrical sockets. It is highly feasible to propose a mounting frame attached to walls without repairing and to use wall outlet sockets for electric supply and communication network.
Various devices can be installed from floor to ceiling at intervals of 100㎜ between mounting frames, which are erected on both sides of 400㎜ width and supply power and information to devices. The mounting system of the wall allows to application of the fast-growing technology and smart home devices to a long-life housing.
