As a result of the survey of fish, according to the water system in the Taebaeksan National Park, 5 family 10 species 2,595 individuals appeared in the Namhan-river water system and 8 family 14 species 5,993 individuals appeared in the Nakdong river system. The legally protect species did not appear in the Namhan-river water system, and the endangered species I, Koreocobitis naktongensis and endangered species II, Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis appear in Nakdong-river water system. Some areas within the Taebaeksan National Park have serious adverse effects on the river ecosystem such as the destruction of the longitudinal connection of the river due to indiscriminate dam installation, the influx of turbid water from the highland vegetable garden, and the leakage of mine waste water. Therefore, countermeasures are needed.
The area of the Taebaeksan National Park is narrow and deformed unlike the other national parks, and the management area of fish and aquatic ecosystem is not properly managed because of the small area of management. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to enlarge the area of the national park and the investigation point in consideration of the stream order.
Finally, further studies are needed to clarify the correlation between the disturbing factors of the streams in the Taebaeksan National Park and the fish community, and it is necessary to expand the scope of national parks, to prepare measures for stream restoration, and to monitor continuously.
