This study is to compare quality of life on the elderly among urban, farm and island area. The respondents for this study were 571 old aged people who were above 65 years old in sun-cheon city, ham-pyung gun and sin-an gun in junranam province. The survey consists of lots of questions to inform the general feature, financial condition, health condition and social characteristics. the statistical methods used for the data analysis were descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and multiple regression. The major findings were obtained in this study as following. First, the old aged in urban area were the lowest economic condition than other area. Second, the old aged in urban area were the lowest level than other area in ADL & IADL. Third, the old aged in island area were the lowest social network, but the old aged in urban area were the lowest record than other area in social support. Fourth, the major determinants of life satisfaction were different by the dwelling area. Finally, implications were discussed for developing effective social welfare policies and social work program to the elderly persons for improvement of their Life satisfaction.
