This study is about self-directed learning applicable to childhood teacher education.
At first this study examines the basic theory about self-directed learning and then explores childhood teacher education related to self-directed learning.
This paper devides three parts that are ‘self-directed learning and childhood teacher education’, ‘self-directed learning process and childhood teacher education’, ‘critical thinking about self-directed learning and childhood teacher education’
Conclusion is
1. Expert teachers confront of diverse situation and many problem. They must manage many thing and need directed learning.
2. In self-directed learning learner must manage plan, action, evaluation by oneself. This process obtains through learning and establish childhood teacher education program.
3. Self-directed learning is one method which developes critical thinking for professional childhood teacher.
