The purpose of this study is to establish the perspective of grammar education of ‘sai ㅅ’ by revealing the symbolic and orthographic characteristics of ‘sai ㅅ’, and to find educational approaches to ‘sai ㅅ’.
In Korean language education, ‘sai ㅅ’ has changed from the normative and corrective view point as an item of the linguistic norm to the emphasis on constructive, understanding of principle and Usage and practice of life.
The educational perspectives of ‘sai ㅅ’ are based on the linguistic inquiry, the growth of the learner’s awareness, and the speaker’s approach in the process of language generation and expression.
The education plan of ‘sai ㅅ’ was searched by the recognition of the linguistic reality of ‘sai ㅅ’ through unfamiliarity, and the exploration of ‘sai ㅅ’s symbolization through the generative approach.
