Spiritual intelligence index development which enables human beings who can pursue pleasure to play the role of happily guiding self-respectful life is the focus of attention of this study. With the end of finding out potential factor structure of spiritual intelligence measure, principal component analysis and common factor analysis regarding response score of spiritual intelligence measure of 255 ordinary university students in the central part of the country were used to extract main factors.
Cronbach’s αvalue which is the internal consistency credibility of a question was calculated so that internal consistency of spiritual intelligence recognition measure can be proved. Credibility of test tool composed of 28 questions was found to be α=.855 and it was proved that it is‘credible’as the value of more than α=.60 meets the condition suggesting credibility in general. Correlation analysis was conducted to find out correlations between recognition area and will area of spiritual intelligence. Correlation analysis about recognition and will in the existential area, recognition and will in the sensible area, and recognition and will in the introspection area found that Pearson correlation coefficient of **p＜.01, *p＜.05, which is statistically significant. In particular, correlation coefficient of recognition factor and will factor in the existential area showed very high degree of clear correlations at p＜.01.
Analysis results from credibility analysis, factor analysis, and correlation analysis of Spiritual intelligence led to categorization and naming into three factors including existential life, sensible life and introspective life in recognition area, and four factors including subjective will, existential will, sensible will, and introspective will in will area. In particular, recognition factor and will factor in existential area showed very high degree of positive correlations, and recognition factor and will factor in sensible area and introspective area showed relatively high degree of positive correlations, suggesting that possibility of Spiritual life should pursue the act as interaction of recognition factor and will factor. Right understanding of personal spiritual nature means recognition of one’s existential, sensible, and introspective life and the attitude to enhance one’s will power for better life with the will to live.

즐거움을 추구할 줄 아는 존재자인 인간이 행복하게 자존적 삶을 안내할 수 있는 길잡이 역할을 가능하게 할 수 있는 영성지능 지표개발에 주목해 보았다.
영성지능이란 인간이 본질적으로 가지고 있는 잠재능력으로 한 개인의 내적 외적 삶을 연결하고 자신과 타인과의 관계 속에서 작용하는 행복한 삶의 원동력이라 할 수 있으며, 더 나아가 자연과 절대자와의 관계를 통합하는 힘으로서 인간이 추구하고자 하는 궁극적인 의미이며 목적이라고 정의내릴 수 있다.
영성지능 척도의 잠재적 요인구조를 알아보기 위해 중부권 소재 255명의 일반성인 대학생을 대상으로 한 영성지능 척도의 응답 점수에 대한 주성분분석(principal component analysis)과 공통요인분석((common factor analysis)으로 주요요인을 추출하였다.
영성지능 인식척도의 내적인 일관성을 증명하고자 문항내적 일관성신뢰도인 Cronbach’s α값을 산출하였다. 28문항으로 이루어진 검사도구의 신뢰도는 α=.855로 나타나 일반적으로 α=.60이상이면 신뢰성있다고 보는 조건을 만족하여 신뢰도 분석결과 ‘신뢰성 있다.’는 것이 검증 되었다.
영성지능의 인지영역과 의지영역의 상관관계를 알아보고자 상관분석(Correlation Analysis)을 실시하였다. 실존영역의 인지와 의지, 분별영역의 인지와 의지, 성찰영역의 인지와 의지의 상관분석의 결과는 Pearson 상관계수 *p＜.01, *p＜.05이므로 통계적으로 유의미하다. 특히, 실존영역의 인지 요소와 의지 요소의 상관계수는 p＜.01 매우 높은 수준의 뚜렷한 상관관계를 나타내고 있다.
영성지능의 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 상관분석에서 도출된 분석 결과인지영역의 실존적 삶, 분별적 삶, 성찰적 삶의 3요인과 의지적 영역의 주관적 의지, 실존적 의지, 분별적 의지, 성찰적 의지의 4요인으로 구조화 및 명명하였다. 특히, 실존영역의 인지요소와 의지요소의 상관은 매우 높은 수준의 정적상관을 보여주고 있으며, 분별영역과 성찰영역의 인지요소와 의지요소의 각각 상관은 비교적 높은 수준의 정적상관을 나타내고 있어 영성적 삶의 가능성은 인지요소와 의지요소의 상호작용으로서의 행위를 추구해야함을 나타내고 있다. 개인의 영성을 올바르게 이해한다는 것은 자신의 실존적, 분별적, 성찰적 삶을 인지하고 있다는 것과 살아가려는 의지를 가지고 잘 살기위한 의지력을 향상시키는 삶의 태도를 지닌다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 삶의 태도는 자신의 삶에 유익하고도 만족스러운 의미를 부여하고 즐겁고 행복한 자아실현의 모습이다.
