University education in Korea is undergoing a new transition. University education used to be centered on theory in the classroom. However, it is now being transformed into industry-university cooperative education based on community backgrounds. This paper aimed to explore new possibilities of university education by dealing with LINC+ Community Capstone Design Course, focusing on educational limit situation faced by current university education. This study also explored ways to overcome these limitations by developing and applying a practical educational program to enhance vocational abilities of university students. Results of this study are as follows. First, we were able to try a new approach in university education by examining the emergence and necessity of University-Community Linkage Education in aspects of vocational education. Second, we were able to present a form of field-friendly university education by reviewing the design and application of LINC+ Community Capstone Design Course as a type of University-Community Linkage Education. As a result of this program implementation, we were able to foster village citizens by forming local-cultural community and developing regional expertise to revitalize local culture and practice field-based cooperative learning.
