Letter home has a long history from the ancient China, which took politics, philosophy, knowledge, social activities and admonition as the main contents in order to help the youth to get more knowledge and to form right personality. For this, Zheng Banqiao"s Letter Home can be recognized as one of the representative works of Chinese letter literature. His Letter Home directly expressed his view of life, sense of value and the view of literature connecting with his inner spirit. As an artist who had a hard life, he gave his view and suggestions in his Letter Home and autograph. He thought that the truth of being a man is more important than the official career. In order to realize the way of being a man and implement it, people need to study. The learning principle should help people to know the truth of being a man and become a good man. What books or articles are proper for study also depends on whether they can help people get virtues. Zheng Banqiao taught the youth how to read with special perspectives without hesitation as an artist who had tasted the literature that connected the spirit of articles with real life, as a teacher and also as a father in a family.
