Recently, share house has been attracting attention as a residential alternative of a young person’s one, and it is also increasing in quantity. Especially, a share house which is considering foreign students coming to study in Korea is also appearing. However, the share house where foreigners can reside is still in beginning stage, so there is little research or investigation on the extent to which foreign students are provided, what kind of housing environment is provided to international students, and what needs to be improved. Therefore, The purpose of this study was to introduce the concept of share house for foreign students and identify residents’ needs and residence requirements in share house, and provide related information necessary for planning and supply of the share house suitable for foreign students expected to increase in the future. The data were analyzed by frequency, mean, and variance using SPSS. The perception of share house was generally positive in recent years for the necessity of share house for foreign students and residency. The biggest reason to live a share house was to save on living expenses. This study was meaningful to mention the aspect of life sharing in share house specifically. In future research, various types of life sharing should be developed, and research on the positive effect of life shared house should be conducted through post occupancy evaluation.
