Microgrid technologies are currently in the demonstration phase and microgrid construction is underway with military camps, island areas, university campuses, and local communities. Campus microgrid aims to reduce energy usage, maximize efficiency, and stabilize power supply through independent operation in case of emergency by constructing university campus as microgrid. The campus microgrid includes various element technologies such as the construction of distributed energy facilities such as solar power and power storage system, microgrid structural design technology, operating system technology, and grid interconnect technology. This paper describes the current situation of overseas and domestic campus microgrid construction project.
