The purpose of this study is to measure the correlation between leisure activities of women and the job opportunities in their respective career field based on ground theory. Through this process, the study will discover the potential benefits of leisure activities by understanding the positive and negative effect that exist in changing occupations by the level of leisure activities. The discovering of potential benefits of leisure activity will allow an individual to re-examine the purpose of life and will reconstruct the meaning of leisure activities in individual’s life. Under these condition, two conclusions were obtained. First the paradigm of the role of leisure activity in the process of job re-search as a women fitness trainer’s discontinuity of her career can be shown as six components according to the ground theory. Women’s career discontinuity in a causal condition starts of by fitness training as leisure activity leading to navigate and re-search as a central phenomenon. However, as an intervening condition where job re-research is used as a constraint factors, fitness training appeals as an interaction strategy that leads to a negative effect of becoming professional fitness trainer. Second, through the process of job re-search of women’s career discontinuity, the study analyzes the role of leisure activity found that it leads to positive attitude and gain confidence in their lives. The study showed that housewives who sacrifice themselves for their family are also needing to enjoy leisure time as a member of the family to be productive in society. Also career discontinuity woman needs opportunity and interest to enjoy their leisure time.
