Increasing in number of directions scheduling schemes cause to generate solutions with higher qualities (smaller makespans). We studied the behavior of multi directional scheduling schemes under some new conditions. We aimed that scheduling schemes with higher direction such as tri-directional scheduling scheme (trdss) outperforms the scheduling schemes with lower direction (e.g. single and bi-directional scheduling schemes) with respect to minimize makespans. In addition we considered the question of when to move from single direction to bidirectional and/or tri-directional scheduling schemes. In this paper, we addressed this issue and based on empirical as well as analytical investigations show that when measures of resource availability and their distributions such as RF → 0.0 or , RF → 1.0, it is beneficial to move to higher directional scheduling schemes. In addition, the results showed that as the average resource loading factor is decreased the move to higher directional scheduling schemes is recommended.
