This study examines the prospect of Tourism Policy and Over-tourism Phenomenon in Jeju region. Over-tourism Phenomenon became a global hot issue emerging in the tourism industry of the last years.
Mass tourism, like Over-tourism, results in an excess of tourist inflow exceeding the capacity of the destination. The negative Effects of Over-tourism goes together with the Gentrification, Touristification and Tourist-phobia phenomenons that infringe the community residential life. In order to overcome these problems Sustainable tourism and Fairness tourism policy should be implemented properly in Jeju regional area. The main purpose of this study is to contribute useful data for further studies related to Over-tourism.
