This case study was conducted to promote the quality of life of elderly stroke patients with disabilities. The participants of this study consisted of five seniors experiencing rehabilitation. They had lost their confidences from the diseases and depressed with their fears for the future. I had examined the effects of humanities therapy on the participants using tools such as poetry and art, starting from October 2013 to December 2013 with a total of ten one-hour weekly sessions. The results of the study are as follows: first, humanities therapy helps develop self-expression skills as well as assists patients in regaining confidence, enhancing the individual’s overall emotional health. Second, humanities therapy utilizing poetry and art brings positive changes to quality of life of elderly stroke patients. Therefore, these results of this case study can be useful to improve the quality of the elderly stroke patients.
