The Communist Party of China"s(CPC) strategies of governing Tibet are explored within the process of the party’s peaceful liberation of Tibet and the establishment of the socialist system, created in the new period of the party leading the Tibetan people to carry out reform, opening up and modernization, developed in the period when the party led the Tibetan people to build a well - off society in an all - round way, and formed in the new era of completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Under the new situation, the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Xi Jinping has inherited and developed the CPC’s strategies of governing Tibet. He also combined the current issues and situations faced by Tibet, put forward a “to rule the country must rule the frontier, to rule the frontier must stabilize Tibet”(治国必治边、治边先稳藏) strategy, which claimed to follow five principle: legally govern Tibet; enrich the Tibetan people; long-term establishment of Tibet; gather and unite people; maintain foundations. These formed the CPC’s strategies of governing Tibet.
