The purpose of this study was to develop of the psychological evaluation standard for diagnose the psychological characteristics of elite athletes. For this way, we recruited a 1,509 of the middle school, high school, and college/general athletes’ including sports sciences of Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, Daegu, Gyeonggi, and Jeonbuk. We measured sports competition anxiety test 2, sports competitiveness anxiety test, and intrinsic motivation respectively. The data were divided into five stages (upper, middle, middle, lower, middle, lower) based on normal distribution through z-value. The results of this study were as follows: First, the score according to each measurement criterion was calculated, and the score according to sex and school level was also derived. Second, male and female athletes and middle school, high school, college/general athletes have different scores on psychological characteristics. Overall, psychological evaluation standards are expected to contribute not only to improving the athletic performance of the athletes but also as an important basic data for psychological counseling for sport context.
