Loyalty and betrayal are two opposing virtues. Interpersonal, individuals will inevitably face their conflicts and gluing. Time of peril, individual choices are mostly either-or. Chinese history is littered with samples of these two virtues, Lu military bloc of substitution of the Song and Yuan is one of the latter. Late Southern Song Dynasty has always faced the crisis of foreign invasion led Lu group continues to grow in . Lu group have contradictions and conflicts with Core characters and pretenders, improper disposal of Southern Song court makes contradictory growing. Under the action of Mongolian powerful offensive and temptation, since the fall of Xiangyang, Lu group members surrender in succession. Subsequently, the group plays a key role in the war of destroyed Song, etc. Its members and their children held senior positions in central and local in the new regime, they continue to gather power and wealth. Because of the Yuan court‘s rejection, Yuan's short-lived, etc. Lu group members, especially the Lu and Fan’s children soon decline. Lu group suffered the suspicion, hostility, rejection and even liquidation from both the old and the new regime. They also subjected to criticism by moral and historical repeatedly.
