My research aims to explore an direction of the novel(literature) education in multi-cultural society. This thesis starts from cognition that the study of multiculture(multiculturalism) or multicultural education in literature, literary education and Korean language education etc. is researching actively. The diagnosis and prescription of each research groups about multi-cultural society was different but multi-cultural policy has been propelled stronly by government. Also, The literature and art has been represented it, but it does not create yet the fine work. and literary education researcher can not solve it in educational context. Multicultural education has good aspects because it is want to escape a discriminational education according to sex, race, language and culture, etc. There are various opinion about concept of multicultural literature. The controversy centers around the pedagogical definition. Many pedagogical definitions of multucultural literature have been offerd from works that focus on “people of color” to Books other than those of the dominant culture. My thesis proposed a multiple cultural identity with educational idea. And My research suggested principles of multi-cultural production and acceptance of the novel in two levels. First. for contents, diversity, equity, multilayer, and complex. Sencond, for methods, otherness and dialogism.
