The study was done under the hypothesis in which the ultimate goal of the performance for children is to create a better educational effect. To reach the purposed goal, the diverse components of Dalcroze Festival from 1999 until 2008 and local performances for children were analyzed. According to the research, the key components of the Dalcroze Festival are the following: 1) musical games, 2) musical story telling, and 3) choreography. In addition, all activities of the Dalcroze Festival induced the audiences as 'passive listeners' to 'active participants.' These research results provide useful information to enable performance for children which implement the professional and educational values. In addition, in order for the performance for children to be an independent genre in which both education and performances to become linked 1) an attempt for creative concepts, 2) working on script for proper narration according to the children's ability, 3) qualified narrator, 4) more technical support for a better performance, and 5) higher status of performer's standards need to be researched in close detail.
