The purpose of this paper is to investigate the reality of grammar education in high school and problems in connection with the scholastic aptitude test, curriculum and student’s recognition of grammar education, and to seek ways solving problems of reality. Until now grammar classes have been regarded as uninteresting studies due to low rate of the scholastic aptitude test, so many students have avoided grammar class and cause to have low ability of speaking and writings. There are four problems in teaching grammar in high school. (1) Difficulty in managing curriculum have not been solved. (2) It is necessary to make systematic grammar guide book for teacher. (3) Grammar study materials to increase to student’s interest is lacked. (4) There is confusion about grammar terms in textbooks. Three problems were presented as result of weakening of grammar education. (1) Solid type of the scholastic aptitude test cause to students to have low motivation in studying grammar. (2) In result, language properties education was neglected in speaking situation. (3) There are many misuses in writings. Three ways were presented in solving the problems and reinforcing grammar education. (1) It is necessary to balance the number, type and difficulties of the scholastic aptitude test. (2) It is necessary to recognize that normalization of grammar education is needed for building student’s right character. (3) Useful grammar guide book and teaching-learning materials are needed. (4) There needs to increase the efficiency of maintaining grammar classes.
