It is the relative balance of both adapt-ability and level of political support that determines the entropy of a political system as a whole. Adaptability determines the outer entropy change of the system, which refers to the capability of the system to survive in the face of environmental fluctuations. The level of political support is the critical factor affecting the inner entropy change of the system.It is suggested that entropy change in North Korean socialist system is afected by both inner political support level and outer adappolitical socialization of the formal ideology such as Juche in North Korea, the level of diffused support has declined since the 1990's. In terms of environmental changes, North Korean regime has been pressured with various issues such as iminent economic dificulty, the second nuclear crisis, and human rights situation.Instead of diffused support, the level of specific support will be the critical factor af-fecting the inner entropy change of North The capability of the system to handle environmental fluctuations will determine the outer entropy change. However, considering the significance of economic development for the specific political support, the degree of entropy of North Korean socialist system as a whole will be determined by the width, the depth, and the pace of the opening of the system.
