This study is to research on address terms using between married couple and between mother-in-law and daughter in law in the multicultural family. The research conducted a questionnaire survey of 510 foreign married immigrant women who reside in Daegu and Gyeongsangbukdo. The most general titles for married couple in multicultural family is ‘yeobo’. This paper had the different result from the previous research which had a higher rate of usage with ‘oppa’ and ‘ireum’ between foreign married immigrant women and their husbands. Address terms for parents-in-law used by foreign married immigrant women had a very high ‘abeonim/eomeonim’ ratio. Titles for calling foreign married immigrant women by parents-in-law made frequent use of ‘○○[grandson]+eomeom/eomi’. Choosing the title for foreign married immigrant women by their husbands and parents-in-law analyzed that it is influenced by their child involvement during conversation. In the case of calling foreign married immigrant women ‘ya/eoi’ by their husbands and parents-in-law, most of foreign married immigrant women had a negative perception toward this title. The desired titles for foreign married immigrant women by their husbands and parents-in-law were ‘yeobo, jagi, ○○[children]+eomma’, ‘○○[grandson]+eomeom/eomi, iruem, aga’. Especially the women who have relatively higher age and longer residence had a very high family name ratio. It is significant that this study led the general result supplemented the quantitative limit of the previous studies on usage of address terms for foreign married immigrant women. In addition, this analyzed the usage of address terms and investigated the part of language life by the multicultural family, so it represents considering their overall life and providing communication materials.
