Among elements constituting magazines, photo plays a role of helping understanding the content and attracting attention from users by expressing contents in the information into the image. Especially, the creative direction of photos induces the reader’s interest, it can draw the attention visually, and it can be also helpful in terms of the cognition and efficient delivery of messages. This study suggests the method of photos for attracting user’s interest and increasing the efficiency of delivery of the information. The method of this study is to look at the direction of fabricated photography appeared in Naver Magazine cast that provide a variety of contents published in the magazine, and analyzed this in terms of the idea conception. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to analyze photos which were directed in the magazine interestingly, based on the idea conception such as replacement, combination, application and borrowing, modification, exclusiveness, reconstruction and so on. And through this, it was shown that it is possible to apply the idea conception method expressed mainly through computer graphics in previous advertising media to directing photo. It is expected that the suggested directing method for creative photos can increase the interest of readers and efficiency of delivering the information by utilizing as design elements not only in magazines, but also in various media covering a wide range of content such as the book cover design, advertisement, and so on.
