The present study collected the advice of 10 professional beauty artists studying at the S University graduate school with more than 10 years of field experience, developed five curls named I, J, C, O, and C representing the shape of English Alphabets, applied the wave and texture of curls' line and plane by blow drying the trendy solid short hair cropped without layers, and created five hair styling works with I, J, C, O, S curls on manekins to provide the styling procedure and design.
Also, the study looked at the concept and characteristics of blow drying and explained how blow drying changes hair styles based on the changes of curls.
I curl embodied a strict and simple work with the straight, clean, and smooth design, J curl delivered the calm and traditional design based on the harmony between straight and curved lines, and C curl represented the design evoking composure, serenity, simpleness, and silence with its soft curl. O curl delivered a round shape expressing the outgoing and active personality. S curl expressed a rich and mature hair style adding feminine, introvert, and soft quality.
Therefore, if I, J, C, O, and S curls can be applied to the basic hair cut by blowing drying, not only by hair cut, it will contribute to expanding the drying field for hair designers and creating new styles in the beauty art industry.
