In advanced consumer capitalism society nowadays, the importance of culture’s economization is ever emphasized. The production and the consumption in content industry related to beauty also stress the importance of beauty icon. As digital media develops, fashion and appearance is as important as music to popular singers and the image concept of fashion became an important factor as it can differentiate a singer from others and build up her unique image. There was a research that analyzed the image shown in the total coordination of different representative girl groups such as girl’s generation, wonder girls, 2NE1, and the result shows that girl’s generation styled an image of girl’s purity, cuteness and vigor. On the other hand, wonder girls repeated retro style through a retro look in the way of modern fashion and 2NE1 presented a pop-art look that is new, creative, peculiar and unique. It can be seen that the musical characteristics of popular music genre is closely related to fashion style and girls’ voluptuous charm was emphasized through styling and design as the flow of modern fashion.
