We are faced with the time when needs the study that focuses on methods of digital design process of a dynamic property through developing an effective digital design. In response to the need, this paper explores new understanding of designing in relation to digital design media and digital design pedagogy. This study tries to find the property of materials analyzing smart materials and technologies, a way to utilize digital media and design and finally a design principles for increasing creativity. Digital design has a potential to make a new designing, for it has formation, generation and performance which have the parametric, topological, geometrical property. The applied the space of smart materials and technologies by the designer needs the coordinated approach for Well-being, Eco, Safe and health and the convergence of design for human. When the smart materials and technologies are applied, well-being, eco, safeness and health and the convergence of design for humans have to be considered. This study proposes an educational model for digital designing using the smart materials and technology and hopes to be a digital design pedagogy that responds to present’s new needs.
