혈액투석 환자에서 중심정맥의 협착증은 혈관확장술 및 스텐트 시술로 치료가 가능하나 치료 후에도 재발이 많아 반복적인 중재적 개입술이 필요한 경우가 흔하다. 특히 완두정맥은 정맥의 해부학적인 위치 및 정맥의 특성 때문에 balloon expandable stent보다 self expandable stent가 선호된다. 저자 등은 완두정맥의 협착 및 폐쇄에 balloon expandable stent 시술 후에 스텐트 부위의 뒤틀리고 허탈된 2예에서 self expandible stent로 성공적으로 치료하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
